Weekend trip to Zapallar and Papudo

Headed north for the weekend....ready to get out of the city we're used to....80km north of Vina.
Off the bus, straight to the beach....
Woo..Zappallar...The most exclusive coastal restort town in Chile. A beach front that high rise developers have yet to spoil. Instead, it's surrounded with beautiful multimillion dollar houses...ha we were the only ones there...it was cold and rainy...
Lol..Anthony, had to bust out with his pocket poncho dress

not to worry..Sabado, the sun was shinning..
Chris....Different looking sea weed here
This is actually Papudo...We decided to take the micro to the next town because it was much easier to find a cheap hostel to stay the night in. Papudo...I think we were the only people in that town that night...We roamed aroud in the rain, bar hoped (the only two bars there), got some empanadas at this really cute cabin right on the ocean
The start of our long long trek back to Zapallar(to catch a bus back to Vina)We started along the coast for a couple miles, ended up having to climb up into and through someones backyard in order to get back to the road. Once we were on the road again, for some reason we decided to just walk the 4 more miles back into Zapallar.

On our trek back, we stopped at a cemetery...vistas muy linda.. The combination of beautiful history and geology....Peace and serenity
